SLEEPSAFE CHALLENGE

With the help of our friends at Victoria Park Methodist and others from our community, we are pleased to announce that we have reached our challenge total.

Well done everyone what a brilliant job!

The Seniors and Brigaders have collected and wrapped items for over 20 Christmas gift bags for the rough sleepers of Bournemouth that use Sleepsafe (an organisation set up by the churches of Bournemouth, which offers assistance and a place to sleep during the winter months )

The bags contain hats and gloves, socks, toiletries, flasks, hot water bottles and of course lots of Christmas treats.

We hope that our gifts bring some Christmas joy into the lives of those that receive them and we pray that they will feel God's blessings and guidance on their lives.

Merry Christmas

Welcome to our light party

This evening we celebrated Jesus being our light of the world showing us the way to go.
We've made light lanterns and solved light themed anagrams.
We're so glad that Jesus is our friend

Looking at the injustice in the world

Fairtrade was our discussion topic this evening. Highlighting the good choices that we can make to help people around the world get a better deal. Sharing a fairtrade chocolate fondue while we discussed the issue will help us to remember the important message.

Our Seniors and Brigaders cooked these lovely fairtrade choc chip and cranberry cookies this evening.  They're also making decorations for the church and videos to advertise fairtrade fortnight.
