GB 120th Anniversary Celebration

Brigaders get creative

Our Brigaders are learning the art of felting. After making samples to improve their skills the girls have designed a banner which they are currently working on. The banner celebrates our 120th anniversary and we hope it will be displayed somewhere in the church.

Easter craft evening

During Holy Week we met as a whole company with parents as well. During the evening we looked again at the Easter story before making Easter baskets. Of course the baskets went home full of chocolate eggs. It was great to have the evening with parents sharing the good news of Jesus.

What a busy evening we had.

Our juniors completed their badge about love and made a beautiful heart shape collage with the names of people who love us. We remembered that God loves us unconditionally.
Happy 18th birthday to Katie we helped her to celebrate with a massive cup cake.
As our brigaders have been looking at coping with exam stress,we treated them to a pamper evening. Foot spa, nail varnish and face packs were the order of the evening along with hot chocolate and squirty cream. Even captain joined in with a face treatment. We all felt really chilled out by the end of the evening.

Launching our 120th Anniversary Celebrations

Some of our members were able to join us for parade this morning despite the snowy weather. Our balloons had been displayed in the church during the service and we had explained that GB members all over the country were releasing balloons to mark the start of our 120th anniversary year. After a time of prayer we all took the balloons outside.
Although not everyone was able to join us, a balloon was released for each family in our company.
We now wait to see if anyone finds our balloons
